If one wants to improve their fluency in a new language, it is important to read. Yet, what reading materials should you begin with when you are not yet literate in that language? Ster in lezen is specially developed for non-native speakers between ages 12-18 at the very beginning of learning and comprehending texts in Dutch. At three different levels – Alfa A, Alfa B and Alfa C – Ster in lezen offers pleasing and pleasurable readings for students. Each level consists of short texts with illustrations that help clarify what is being said in the literature. There are also text-based conceptual questions that guide and direct students in developing their Dutch reading skills and vocabulary step by step.
