In 1979 the first edition of Schrijfwijzer was published. The book became an instant bestseller and has been ever since. Up to 450.000 have been sold. Finally a work of reference that has the answers to questions that everyone struggles with, while ordinary language books often fail to do so. Dutch is more than a collection of grammar rules after all. How do I write compellingly? What is the function of the semicolon? How do I write clear sentences? In this fifth edition of the Schrijfwijzer the newest language issues are being discussed, the examples are modernized and a lot of attention is given to the digital writing process and differences in style.
