Woordenschattoets Nederlands

The Woordenschattoets Nederlands (WTN) (Dutch vocabulary test) is an online monolingual and curriculum independent test which estimates receptive vocabulary size in Dutch. With 70 questions the WTN measures the knowledge of 7000 word families. 

Measuring vocabulary size offers a good indication of the overall level of a student in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Therefore, on the basis of the test score an indication of the student’s ERK-level is given as well. 

The WTN is taken digitally in NT2 SCHOOL. On the first page, the student fills out his details, such as his e-mail address (and if necessary, the e-mail address of the teacher). After completing the test, the student will see the result immediately. The result is also sent to the e-mail address of the student (and the teacher).  

Note: When you order this product you will receive an activation code by email. The code, after activation, grants 90 minutes access to the test in NT2 SCHOOL. It takes about 30-45 minutes to take the WTN. The test must be completed within these 90 minutes.

The WTN can be taken multiple times and is therefore suitable to use as entry-test and as progress-test. It is best to use this test when you're studying for level A2.

The WTN consists of 70 multiple choice questions, each containing four possible answers of which one is the correct answer. Before the test starts, the student needs to fill in some details: name, e-mail address, the teacher’s e-mail address, etc. Then, the test starts. After the last questions, the student sees the result of the test. The result is also sent by e-mail to the student’s and the teacher’s e-mail address.
